i’ve wanted one of these l.b.m. 1911 jackets for a couple of years now.  i made a promise to myself in late 2012 that i couldn’t buy one until i dropped the extra 25 lbs i’ve been carrying around for 2 years.  good news: the weight is finally gone (more on that in a couple of posts) and i’m ready to make the purchase.  i’m not sure how these things fit, so my plan is to stop by haberdash when i’m in chicago next month and get fitted.  it’s a shame too, because i have a couple of good trips before chicago where a unstructured, light-weight, slim-fitting jacket would come in handy.  i’m thinking i’ll go with the navy.  my backup color will be the green version.  if you have one, please share with me which color you chose and if you like it.  i can’t imagine i won’t like this jacket.  for more info on l.b.m, check out the description from epaulet’s site (which is where i grabbed this image.  thanks, guys).
