the best no show socks on the market

stancenoshow

it’s officially hot af (as f**k) outside which means it’s time to show a little ankle.  the best way to accomplish this summertime task is through no show socks.  it may sound like an easy thing to buy, but it’s not my friend.  i’ve tried out several pairs and found the best one’s on the market.  stance’s no show socks are a cut above the rest.  high five!  they fit like a glove and don’t fall down while you’re wearing them – which is exactly what you want from a no show sock duh.  ordering tip: buy a size down than whatever they recommended.  you’ll thank me later.  you can get a 3 pack here for $25.  that is a frickin’ deal.

adidas reissuing rod laver shoes

laver1

adidas rod laver tennis shoes might be my favorite tennis shoes of all time.  i’ve run through close to 3 pairs.  that might not sound like a lot, but i bought my first pair when i was a sophomore in college.  that was forever ago.  rumor has it they’re reissuing the original shoe from the 60’s.  this is good news because 2 years ago they added a new outsole that increased the weight of the shoe about 20 pounds or at least it felt like it.  the reissues were supposed to be on adidas.com on thursday, but i didn’t see them when i just checked.  i will continue to check back until i get these shoes.  they will be mine.  oh yes they will be mine.

new balance crt300

nbcrt2015i don’t play tennis, but that doesn’t matter, because these kicks are fire.  i’m a big fan of new balance court classics and these are another stellar collaboration with j. crew (obviously).  i really don’t need any more summer kicks, but why the hell not?  it’s always good to have options.  get your own right here before they sell out.  they’re going quickly.

need new sneakers

it’s time for some new kicks.  besides a couple pairs of vans (slip-ons & authentics), the only sneakers i’ve been wearing lately are my waxed tretorns from the summer.  shame on me for not having more options.  that’s what happens when you spend the last six months upgrading your dress shoes.  i’ve found a few choices below.  let me know which pair you like or if you have any other suggestions.

the return of the tretorn

if you’ve been reading your blogroll lately, you’ve probably seen tretorns mentioned enough to make you take notice.  i certainly have.  they’re quickly becoming a new summer standard to rotate in with your authentics and lavers.  most are going with the white and changing out laces to add a personal touch.  i like the white ones, but i’m gonna change it up and get these navy ones found here.  tretorns are not a new brand.  they’ve been around since 1891 and released the canvas nylite tennis shoe in 1967.  they were considered the first luxury tennis shoe and were prominent in the 1970s.  i’m glad to see them making a comeback.

tennis shoes

white tennis shoes are the perfect footwear for spring/summer.  i’ve mentioned my obsession with adidas rod lavers a couple of times now, but i noticed these new balance pro court tennis shoes last night while doing some j. crew new item recon.  i’m really interested in seeing a pair.  for $55 there’s no reason i shouldn’t order these.  they look a little bit like my holy grail of tennis shoes – the collaboration between nike and apc that came out in 2009.  behold:

if i pull the trigger on the new balance, i’ll post some pics.  and if you find some the nike x apc kicks on ebay or elsewhere in a size 9.5 or 10, let me know asap.
