muddy waters – start with the double disc anthology

i love the blues.  they’re the foundations of rock and roll.  i’m not talking about white boy blues aka the kind of sh*t you find at your city’s blues bar or in a high school band.  i’m talking about the blues that came out of chicago in the 1950s and 1960s.  i’m talking about muddy waters and little walter and willie dixon.  a lot of my friends claim they don’t like the blues, but that’s because they haven’t been exposed to the real thing.  i played bo diddley in my car a couple of weeks ago and one of my buddies said, “this sounds like rock and roll.”  exactly.

taking a break from the norm on here, i wanted to post a few pictures of some of my favorite blues artist.  if you’re looking for a good entry place to the genre, start with these guys.  you can’t lose.
